PDC Spas TemperLOK™ insulation system provides maximum energy savings while maintaining a lightweight unit for easier installations. The use of a strong fiberglass, non-filled resin backing with an insulating foam coating provides maximum strength and efficiency.  Using this process, a PDC Spa is more costly to manufacture, however, each and every PDC spa unit is made with quality and efficiency in mind.

With the PDC Spas TemperLOK™ design, simply remove any of the side panels, easily view the backside of the spa shell, complete maintenance and replace the panel. Quick, efficient, and economical. Your spa remains strong and thermally efficient.

Servicing the opposing foam-filled units can be a nightmare. If your spa leaks, finding the leak is a huge expense as service technicians are forced to dig through the foam to uncover the source. You're left with a spa that now has no foam (you're without thermal retention and shell strength) and a big bill.

Energy Efficiency

PDC Spas has engineered a unique system that maximizes energy efficiency and minimizes heat loss rivaling our foam-filled competitors. Unlike foam-filled units which hide manufacturing defects and make servicing expensive, the sophisticated engineering of our TemperLok™ system keeps the spa lightweight, economical to own and operate.

All PDC Spas are protected from cold, damp, and outside elements with a multi-layer bottom construction.  A tough ABS plastic material covers the entire bottom and tightly wraps up the cabinet sides.  A layer of pressure-treated plywood is added for strength, while a layer of thick foam is sandwiched between the ABS and plywood for superior insulation. An inside reflective thermal barrier ensures outstanding thermal efficiency.

The TemperLOK™ system begins with:

(1) Urethane foam backs the spa shell to prevent spa water heat from escaping.  Not overdone, as a minimal amount of heat is actually lost through the spa shell.

(2) Thick cabinet sidewalls are backed with a full 3/4" insulating foam panel, faced with a reflective thermal barrier. This keeps cold air from entering, and warmed air from escaping.

(3) The TemperBase™ spa floor is a multi-layer design of tough, durable plastic, 1" thick insulating panel, pressure-treated plywood facedwith a reflective thermal barrier.

(4) A rubberized gasket seals the cabinet sidewalls tight to the  spa shell completing the cavity of trapped air.

(5) A thick thermal cover prevents heat from escaping.  This is an important feature of energy conservation as most heat escapes from the water surface; compare this to steam escaping from a styrofoam cup of hot coffee.  Only the highest quality covers  are offered at PDC Spas.

PowerFLO™ Filtration System

Our state-of-the-art filtration system is pre-programmed to clean your spa water using the low speed of your jet pump. The PDC pressure-side filtration system begins with the pump pulling spa water through safety suctions in the bottom and top of the spa, then forcing the used spa water with the pressure of the jet pump through the deep pleats of the filter cartridge where debris and contaminants are trapped. The result is clean, fresh water introduced back into your spa through the jet system.

This unique design is far more effective than suction-side systems whereby dirty water may bypass the filtration altogether. With PDC Spas, all the water is filtered, all the time. Feel confident that your spa water is fresh and clean!

EverPure™ Ozone System

 

The EverPure™ ozone system naturally and effectively purifies spa water.  Though ozone has many applications, activated oxygen is used primarily in water and air treatments to disinfect, detoxify, and deodeorize.  It is widely recognized as the most powerful and fastest, but above all the most ecological and natural means of deactivating bacteria.  The EverPure™ ozone system injects millions of tiny, concentrated ozone bubbles during the programmed filter cycle, giving off a fresh "after rain" smell. 

Harsh chemical use is reduced to a bare minimum and maintaining crystal clean water in your hot tub is simple and worry-free. We have recently added a cabinet mounted EverLite™ on all ozone equipped spa models, to assure you that your ozone is hard at work.  If your ozone system is not working properly, the indicator light will not be lit during the filtration cycle.

Spa Construction

We use the finest raw materials to produce one of the strongest shells in the world, backed with a 35 year structural warranty. The finest acrylic sheet, Lucite brand continuous cast acrylic, begins the molding process in a wide selection of high-gloss, marbleized, and textured finishes.  This outer spa layer is the most durable, easiest to maintain, and scratch resistant surfaces available.

Backed with multiple layers of hand-rolled fiberglass and non-filled resins, this age-old, tedious process is what makes PDC Spas so strong that they can actually stand on their own with no framed support. Other companies rely on foam-cavities for additional reinforcement, but at PDC Spas we have proven that it is far better to engineer a solid thicker shell wall sustaining thousands of pounds of water and spa users. Although this process is far more costly, PDC Spas can guarantee an exceptionally strong spa shell built for decades of warm water relaxation.
